Marahootay Optical Illusion
Mirage is the newest edition here at Marahootay and we are forever grateful for Bonnie MacMahon-Howen for allowing us to own Effie (Kasaan’s Forever Fortune) and then to give permission for us to do what was effectively a Kasaan breeding here in the UK using Logan (Am Ch Kasaan’s Take The Fortune ‘N Run To Chayo) owned by Sue Ellis. The result was Mirage.
Mirage is a sweet natured puppy with a lovely coat, her Mum’s dark almond eye’s and the Kasaan trade mark paws and awesome gait. She has only been shown lightly so far but to date she has done remarkably well taking BPIB at the Dutch Club, show, 1st Minor Puppy Bitch at Welks, 1st Puppy Bitch at both the SKC and Southern Counties Shows. We love her attitude greeting all our other dogs, and being such an easy, happy girl.
Look out for her and Franny in the show ring and hopefully on the trails in the coming season.
Judge’s Critiques
June 2015 – Southern Counties
Post Grad Bitch 1st
Judge Mr R Searle:?balanced overall but not concentrating. Like muzzle, shaped eye, arched neck & rib. Handler needs to mentally take control over her.
June 2015 – Border Union
Post Grad Bitch 1st
Judge Mr R Cruden:?21 month light grey girl that is not flashy but stands out immediately as a bitch that matches the breed standard. Still only young but has good development in skull with good breadth and strength in her muzzle. Solid feel to her forehand, strong level topline and good tail-set. She has a strong rear action with plenty of drive and was true away and back. Certainly one I have made a note of for the future.

Judge: Ms J Sugden
April 2014 – WELKS
Judge Mr Anthony P Rees: Not giving her handler the easiest of times but even so she still has enough quality and type coupled with very good movement to take the class. Keep working hard to obtain her full potential as she is one for the future.
May 2014 – Scottish Kennel Club Show
A very good quality 10 month old that is attractive in overall outlines & profile. She is feminine without losing a strong look & she is really well made which edged her this class. She has all the breed characteristics from an attractive typically shaped head & expression to having a well made body in proportion & balance. Moved well & the soundest of this class. Desirable quality & promise & lots of potential to develop.
